Eden centres a princess-cut alexandrite above diamond-set shoulders in 18k white gold. The vine-styled 2.00mm band adds detail on either side while keeping the coloured gemstone in focus.

A lab-grown alexandrite gives Eden its princess-cut centre. The gemstone sits above the diamond shoulder setting, with its selected size changing the balance against the same decorated band.

White gold gives the 2.00mm band a pale frame beneath the coloured gemstone. Diamonds follow the shoulders towards the centre, while the metal and smaller stones remain separate from the princess-cut face.

Eden combines one coloured princess-cut centre with diamonds along the shoulders. The smaller stones trace the 2.00mm band towards the mount, giving the vine-style ring a detailed line without bordering the gemstone.

As the centre size changes, compare the gemstone's stated millimetre measurement with the band width. The diamond shoulders remain part of the same setting, while the coloured centre gains or loses visual prominence.

Seven princess-cut centre choices run from 5.0mm / 0.85ct to 9.0mm / 4.20ct. Each option pairs a millimetre size with carat weight, making it easier to compare the gemstone's scale against the 2.00mm band and diamond shoulders.

ABOUT YOUR CENTRE GEMSTONE

Lab-Grown Alexandrite Engagement Rings: Colour and Design

Lab-grown alexandrite brings a distinctive colour-changing character to an engagement ring. This variety of chrysoberyl can appear bluish-green in some lighting and shift towards purple or reddish tones in others. The strength of the effect varies from stone to stone, so photographs taken in a single light may not show its full appearance.

What Is a Lab-Grown Alexandrite Gemstone?

Laboratory-grown alexandrite has the same essential mineral composition as natural alexandrite but is created in controlled conditions. It is not a diamond or a sapphire. Its changing colour is central to its appeal, particularly when paired with bright accent diamonds that provide a consistent contrast as the centre gemstone changes in different light.

Choosing an Alexandrite Engagement Ring Setting

An oval alexandrite gives a graceful, elongated outline; a round or cushion shape creates a different balance on the hand. A solitaire keeps the focus on the gemstone, while a diamond halo frames its changing colour. Compare the centre stone’s millimetre measurements, the metal tone and the side profile of the setting when choosing a ring for everyday wear.
