Choosing lab grown ruby engagement rings

Let the red set the direction

Compare the selected ruby’s tone and dimensions in neutral lighting. A broader outline presents colour differently from a narrower one, and the visible metal can change the contrast. Choose the colour and shape you enjoy before deciding how much detail to place around it.

Read the centre and accents separately

Lab grown ruby is ruby with laboratory origin. The product specification identifies the centre and any accompanying diamonds or gemstones. A solitaire may have no accent stones, while a halo or pavé design has a different structure and combined weight.

Balance the setting for wear

Look at claw position, basket height and the full head width. Ruby is hard but can still be damaged by impact; follow care advice for the selected stone and mounting. Confirm how a wedding ring will sit beside the design.

Designs to compare

A question worth asking

Does every ruby ring include diamond accents?

No. Check the chosen design. Plain solitaires and diamond-detailed settings have different specifications.
