EDEN - Pear Lab Diamond Platinum Vine Solitaire

View this designPear-cut lab-grown diamond engagement rings have a graceful teardrop silhouette, combining a rounded end with a single tapered point. Explore refined solitaires and decorative settings in platinum and gold. The diamond's proportions and the orientation of its point create different looks on the hand, while the shape of the setting helps protect its distinctive tip.
Look for a balanced relationship between the point and the rounded end, then review the diamond in movement for changes in brightness and bow-tie appearance. A wide pear and a slender pear feel different; compare their actual length and width alongside the report.
Check how the point is protected and whether the claws preserve the outline you enjoy. Try the design in both orientations. A shaped wedding band may follow the point or curve more comfortably than a straight band, depending on the setting.
Read the report issued for your chosen lab grown diamond, including its date, dimensions and relevant comments. Report services and terminology differ. Compare current complete-ring prices with the same stone and mounting specification, and ask for viewing information if appearance is not clear.

Read morePear-shaped lab-grown diamonds have one rounded end and one delicate point, making their proportions particularly important. A longer pear can look quite elegant on the finger, while a fuller one feels softer. We'd compare actual measurements and look at the stone in both possible orientations. Carat weight is helpful for understanding size, but it won't tell you which pear silhouette you'll prefer.
We'd pay particular attention to the tapered tip, as it's more vulnerable than the curved part of the diamond. The chosen setting should support it thoughtfully. Some pear cuts also show a bow-tie-like darker area across their centre, which varies between stones. A rotating video can help you assess that effect along with the diamond's overall sparkle before making your choice.
A claw-set solitaire can emphasise the graceful pear outline, while a halo gives it a fuller, more decorative frame. A bezel adds a continuous metal edge and a different, more graphic look. We'd check protection around the point first, then look at setting height and wedding-band clearance. The ring should feel comfortable to wear, not simply attractive when viewed from above.
Our jewellery specialists would be delighted to help you compare designs at our London or Manchester showrooms, or in a virtual consultation.
