MARGOT - Oval Lab Diamond 18k Yellow Gold Bezel Solitaire
A metal rim defines the centre’s outline. Compare its visible width and the basket beneath it.
View this designBezel-set lab-grown diamond engagement rings frame the centre with a smooth rim of precious metal for a clean, contemporary finish. Discover round, oval and elongated cushion diamonds in platinum and gold, with refined solitaire designs that make a feature of the gemstone's outline. The bezel's width and the band's proportions create subtly different looks, from delicate to architectural.
Look at how much of the stone’s edge is enclosed and the thickness of the visible border. A full bezel and an open or partial construction can differ in profile. Compare overall dimensions and how the underside of the head sits beside a wedding band.
Compare the selected diamonds by their dimensions, visible characteristics and laboratory information. Read centre and accent specifications separately, and ask to see the stone in suitable viewing conditions. Keep metal and mounting consistent when comparing complete-ring prices.
Check finger size, basket clearance and the options for a wedding-ring partner before ordering. Stone-set designs can have specific resizing constraints. Our team can help you compare the actual profiles and confirm the current ordering journey.

Read moreA bezel is a wonderful option if you prefer clean lines and a contemporary feel. The metal follows the edge of the lab-grown diamond, giving it a clear outline without the appearance of individual claws. It can offer more coverage around the stone's perimeter, although the exact level of protection depends on the design. We'd compare the bezel's thickness and the way it frames your chosen diamond shape.
Some bezels are wonderfully fine, leaving plenty of the diamond visible, while others make the precious metal a stronger feature of the ring. We'd look at the top and side views and check how high the centre sits above the band. A bezel doesn't always mean a low-profile ring. We would also consider the metal colour, as a yellow-gold frame gives a very different impression from platinum.
Whether a bezel lab diamond ring fits flush with a straight wedding band depends on the position of the setting above the shank. We'd compare the basket clearance and the height of the intended wedding ring. If the two leave a little gap, that may suit the style beautifully; if not, a contoured band could be worth considering. We'd always prefer to check the actual pairing rather than promise a universal fit.
Our jewellery specialists would be delighted to help you compare designs at our London or Manchester showrooms, or in a virtual consultation.
