Lily Arkwright Manchester: Retail Team of the Year Finalist 2024
Lily Arkwright's Manchester team was shortlisted for Retail Team of the Year at the 2024 UK Jewellery Awards, organised by Retail Jeweller. The category, sponsored by Studex, named Lily Arkwright, Manchester among its finalists. For us, this recognition is a reminder that a showroom experience is created by people, not simply by the jewellery on display.
A Manchester milestone
The nomination followed an earlier chapter in our Manchester story. After moving to The Towers in Didsbury in November 2022, the showroom was shortlisted for Store Design of the Year at the 2023 UK Jewellery Awards. Our original showroom design announcement records that recognition.
These were two different finalist positions: one concerned the space, while the other placed the Manchester team in the spotlight. We value both, because the setting and the service should complement one another.
At The Towers, the character of a historic building provides a distinctive backdrop to a personal purchase. But it is the conversation around the table that helps turn a collection of possibilities into a considered choice.
The people behind a personal experience
Choosing jewellery can involve questions that feel difficult to answer from photographs alone. How does a particular shape look on the hand? Which metal feels most natural to wear? Does a preferred setting suit the way someone intends to wear their ring?
We believe the role of a jewellery team is to make those conversations easier. Good advice should begin with listening, giving customers room to explain what matters to them before discussing the options.
That approach is not limited to the appointment itself. We want the care taken with an enquiry, a practical question or a follow-up conversation to feel consistent. The experience should belong to the customer, rather than depend on how familiar they already are with jewellery.
Recognition worth remembering
Our 2024 Retail Team of the Year shortlist place is a milestone we are proud to include in Lily Arkwright's history. We thank the colleagues whose work contributed to that chapter and the customers who made the Manchester showroom part of their own stories.
