Supporting Kindness Close to Home: Lily Arkwright Donates £500 to Didsbury Good Neighbours
As part of our Social Champions Initiative, we’re proud to support Didsbury Good Neighbours this month with a £500 donation.
This incredible local charity provides practical help, social support, and companionship to older adults in the Didsbury community - just a short distance from our Manchester head office. Their work ranges from friendly home visits and phone calls, to coffee mornings, shopping trips, and community gardening sessions. It’s all powered by a small team and a dedicated group of local volunteers who give their time to reduce loneliness and create real human connection.
Why This Cause Matters
Many of us at Lily Arkwright live and work in South Manchester, and the work of Didsbury Good Neighbours is something we all value deeply. Their kindness-first approach, grounded in the belief that small actions make a big difference, really resonated with our team.
We discovered that their long-running GoFundMe campaign had been quietly making a difference with limited resources and we knew we could help. Our donation will support the charity’s ongoing running costs and enable more volunteer-led visits, group activities, and support for those who need it most.
A Word from Kate
“We’re always proud to support national and global causes, but this month’s donation felt particularly close to home. Didsbury Good Neighbours quietly supports some of the most vulnerable members of our local community and does so with real heart. We hope this donation helps their team continue the brilliant work they’re doing just down the road from us.”Kate Munns, Operations Director at Lily Arkwright

We’re proud to share their story, and even prouder to stand beside them.
