What Is the Lifetime Diamond Upgrade?
The Lily Arkwright Lifetime Diamond Upgrade allows you to trade in your original diamond at any point in the future and receive credit towards a new diamond of greater value. This applies to both natural diamonds and lab grown diamonds, ensuring that your investment is never fixed or limiting. Your diamond is not a final chapter. It is the beginning of a journey that can continue for a lifetime.

How the Diamond Upgrade Works
Upgrading your diamond is designed to be simple and transparent. Natural diamonds can be upgraded to a new stone worth at least one and a half times the original value. Lab grown diamonds can be upgraded to a new stone worth at least double the original value. Once your original diamond has been inspected and approved, you will receive credit for its full original retail value.
If your new diamond does not fit your original setting, we also offer a precious metal credit for your mount. This ensures that nothing goes to waste and that your upgrade feels seamless from start to finish.

A Simple Upgrade Example
Imagine you purchased a lab grown diamond for £500. Years later, you decide to upgrade to a new diamond worth £1,000. Under the Lifetime Diamond Upgrade, your original £500 is credited towards the new stone and you simply pay the difference. If your original setting cannot be reused, you will also receive a metal credit to put towards a new mount.
Your original purchase therefore remains part of your story even when upgrading, rather than something left behind!

A Few Things to Know
To keep the upgrade process fair and transparent, your diamond must be in good condition and accompanied by its original grading certificate from a recognised authority such as GIA or IGI. The upgrade applies to diamonds only and does not include coloured gemstones or moissanite. All upgrades are subject to inspection and approval by our workshop to ensure quality standards are maintained.
