In Celestine, a pear-shaped alexandrite meets a split-shank setting of 18k rose gold. Natural diamonds add detail beside the centre, giving the band a more intricate line without taking the gemstone out of focus.

The pear cut brings a rounded end and a single tapered point to the lab-grown alexandrite. Those proportions are distinct from the smaller diamonds alongside it, so the centre can be read as one gemstone rather than a cluster of similarly sized stones.

Rose gold adds warmth to Celestine's divided shoulders. Natural diamonds follow those shoulders, while the pear centre holds its own position above the 2.00mm band. The metal colour and gemstone colour remain separate elements of the design. The divided band gives this ring more shoulder detail than a plain shank while keeping an open outline around the pear.

Available pear-cut choices range from 0.25ct / 5x3mm to 3.74ct / 12x8mm in the variant labels. The carat figures and dimensions travel together, so a larger option can be considered in the context of the 2.00mm band. The natural diamonds remain shoulder accents rather than a second centre. Compare both measurements when selecting the pear silhouette.

ABOUT YOUR CENTRE GEMSTONE

Lab-Grown Alexandrite Engagement Rings: Colour and Design

Lab-grown alexandrite brings a distinctive colour-changing character to an engagement ring. This variety of chrysoberyl can appear bluish-green in some lighting and shift towards purple or reddish tones in others. The strength of the effect varies from stone to stone, so photographs taken in a single light may not show its full appearance.

What Is a Lab-Grown Alexandrite Gemstone?

Laboratory-grown alexandrite has the same essential mineral composition as natural alexandrite but is created in controlled conditions. It is not a diamond or a sapphire. Its changing colour is central to its appeal, particularly when paired with bright accent diamonds that provide a consistent contrast as the centre gemstone changes in different light.

Choosing an Alexandrite Engagement Ring Setting

An oval alexandrite gives a graceful, elongated outline; a round or cushion shape creates a different balance on the hand. A solitaire keeps the focus on the gemstone, while a diamond halo frames its changing colour. Compare the centre stone’s millimetre measurements, the metal tone and the side profile of the setting when choosing a ring for everyday wear.
