Lab-grown pink sapphire gemstones
A pink lab-grown sapphire brings colour into an engagement ring without requiring a particularly elaborate design.

Pink sapphire and pink diamond are different gemstones
Pink sapphire belongs to the corundum family, while pink diamond is diamond.
Both can provide a pink centre stone, but they are different materials with their own physical and optical characteristics.
Laboratory-grown origin does not make them equivalent. It identifies how each gemstone was created rather than what the gemstone is.
Understanding the pink
Pink sapphire can vary considerably in appearance. Some stones may show a delicate pale pink, while others carry stronger saturation or subtle purplish influences.
Rather than looking for a universal ideal, decide which expression of pink works for you.
The surrounding metal also matters. A colour that appears subtle against rose gold may become more clearly defined within platinum or white gold.
