Choosing a triple pavé engagement ring
Triple pavé engagement rings use three rows of closely set accent stones to create a detailed band. The rows may follow the top and sides of the shoulders, so photographs from several angles help show the full design. Compare the band itself as carefully as the centre stone.
Detail across the shoulders
The width of the band, the size of the accents and how far they extend around the ring all affect its appearance. Triple pavé can be combined with other details, including a hidden halo. These descriptions refer to different parts of the setting and do not necessarily describe separate, mutually exclusive styles.
Centre colour and material
Choose the centre independently of the band detail. Does triple pavé mean three centre stones?
No. It describes rows of small accent stones. A trilogy ring is defined by three principal stones, so it is a different design feature.
What should I consider when pairing a wedding band?
Look at where the side rows sit and how an adjoining band meets the engagement ring. Compare both profiles together so the pairing suits the setting, not just the metal colour. Follow the care guidance for the design and have any loose or damaged settings checked before continuing to wear it.
