Round Natural Diamond Engagement Rings
Round natural diamond engagement rings place a balanced, brilliant-cut centre stone at the heart of the design. Discover the available settings in platinum and gold, from clean-lined bands to more detailed compositions. The individual diamond's cut, measurements and appearance deserve as much attention as its carat weight. Explore this shape below, or compare other outlines in our natural diamond engagement ring collection.

Buying guide
Choosing a round natural diamond with confidence
A round brilliant natural diamond offers a balanced outline, but the shape alone does not explain how an individual stone will look. The quality of the cutting, the measurements and the pattern of light all contribute to its appearance. Begin with those details, then consider the setting that frames them.
Read the report alongside the diamond
Check the selected diamond's carat weight, colour, clarity, measurements and the cutting information provided on its grading report. A report is useful evidence, not a replacement for viewing the stone. Consider the diamond in different lighting and ask for clarification where a product photograph illustrates the setting rather than the exact centre stone.
Separate weight from visible size
Carat measures weight. Diameter describes the round outline seen from above, while depth contributes to the stone's proportions. Two diamonds of similar weight can therefore present differently. Balance the diameter against the band width and the overall head of the ring rather than choosing on carat weight alone.
Frame a round centre in your preferred way
The wider natural diamond solitaire collection provides a starting point for a restrained setting. Shoulder set natural diamond rings add detailing along the band. Compare the centre-stone weight separately from any total diamond weight stated for a multi-stone design.
Should I also compare an oval?
Oval natural diamond rings introduce length instead of an even diameter. Comparing the outlines on the hand is more useful than assuming one will look larger at the same weight. Explore platinum settings for a cool white frame, or discuss the available diamonds and band pairing through a consultation.
