Read moreMen's wedding rings bring together enduring precious metals and carefully considered band profiles. Explore platinum and gold designs with polished or satin finishes, from understated court profiles to flatter, more contemporary silhouettes. The width of the band and shape of the interior influence comfort as much as appearance, allowing you to choose a style that feels right for everyday wear.
A men's wedding ring should feel comfortable and look right with the rest of the jewellery worn every day. The band width, interior profile, precious metal and finish are often more important than choosing a design simply because it is described as traditional or contemporary.
Try a few widths and notice how the edges sit against neighbouring fingers. A domed band has a softer outer profile, while a flat or court-style design creates a different visual and tactile effect. A polished finish reflects more light; satin offers a quieter surface that may show marks differently through wear.
Platinum and gold also feel different on the hand, and their surface finishes change with daily use. Consider whether you would prefer a ring that coordinates with your partner's band or a design chosen independently. Our plain polished men's wedding bands and satin-finish bands are useful starting points.

Read moreFor a men's wedding ring, we find that comfort and personal style usually matter more than following any particular convention. A plain polished band feels classic, a satin finish is softer in appearance, and different profiles sit differently on the finger. We'd suggest looking at the band width, the curve of the inside and your preferred metal. It's a ring you'll likely wear every day, so trying a few styles is especially worthwhile.
A wider men's band can feel noticeably snugger than a finer one, even when both are marked with the same size. We'd compare widths in millimetres and try the ring on for more than a moment where possible. The inside profile also matters: a rounded court shape feels different from a flatter band. Choosing a width that feels natural on your hand is usually more useful than selecting the broadest style available.
Many men's wedding rings are worn on their own, so a flush fit beside an engagement ring may not be relevant. If you'd like to wear both, we'd check their combined width and the way the profiles touch. A plain band may sit comfortably next to another ring, but a raised setting can leave a gap. Our wedding ring collection includes different widths and finishes to compare.
Our jewellery specialists would be delighted to help you compare designs at our London or Manchester showrooms, or in a virtual consultation.
